Korea (Part 2)

Another day, another story. Family, friends and loyal readers, I cannot explain quite how much fun I am having in Seoul. As my time here continues I am learning more of Korean culture, the important emphasis placed upon trust and Social brothers and sisters. It is unlike anything you may have seen of or heard about in the West, but it is of high importance in Korea. For to be a Social brother, there is an innate trust between us in life, work and business, and whereas business in the west is required to operate under the constraints of contracts and formalities, within Korea mutual trust between 'brothers' creates stronger bonds than any contract. Fascinating.

A large part of my time in Korea has been to focus upon the upcoming inaugural F1 race at Jeongham on the weekend of the 22nd- 24th October 2010. It is an fabulous project, for no sport comes close to F1. When watching the Olympics, we watch the big events, notably the 100 metre Mens sprint, fascinated by the ability of man to move so quickly we stare and applaud them, but when you compare the speed of the average runner to the 100 meter sprinters, the difference is far less than the difference in speed between the average car and an F1 car. It is the enormous difference in speed that makes F1 so exciting. 

Further, I believe, that like make other things , mobile phones, computers and technology that the Korean F1 will be the best in the world. There is no sense of mediocrity in Korea, only excellence. I only hope you are all early and lucky enough to get a ticket so you don't miss out, and for those of you fortunate to have a tickets, prepare yourself for the thrill of a lifetime.
