Sometimes I think I should have been born a boy for I love trains, planes and automobiles, not I hasten to add in any train spottery type way I have no interest in a locomotive number if indeed they are even called locomotives any more or even if I am sitting aboard a Boeing 747 or an Airbus A380.

We are spoilt, us complaining Brits, complaining of the weather, complaining of the time it takes to commute to work, complaining about our foolish politicians and indeed complaining about our National Health Service. I understand now in our great Euro Zone of uniformity that we are all one family, a great harmony of co-operation, - no need to fill in forms if you are ill, just do as you do in this country, pitch up to the doctor, pitch up to the hospital and all will be well.

It getting to that time of year again when one's mind begins to imagine lazy days of summer, when the sun shines and the cares fall from one's shoulders, yes its holiday planning time. I am a pretty modern girl and I dispensed with the quaint idea of visiting a high street travel agent some time ago now. The internet is a great source of information and inspiration but I have a problem, my mind tells me to explore but my heart tells me no, no, no Italy, Italy, Italy.
